Crime Victim Assistance Program

The Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) offers free counselling services to eligible crime victims within a year of experiencing a crime in BC.  Family members may also qualify.

An exception to this time frame is in the case of sexual abuse or assault which took place in BC, whereby services for sex-crime victims are available throughout the victim’s lifetime.  For example, if you were sexually abused as a child, the funding may apply to you now.

In order to qualify for sexual abuse/assault counselling, you must write a statement about your experience and provide collateral information, but it isn't necessary to file or have filed a police report against the offender.

I can support you if you would like to seek coverage through CVAP, and am I registered to offer therapy through this program.
